Blackden Trust cares for a parcel of land that has been occupied
for over ten thousand years. It provides facilities for research
into Blackden and its surroundings and courses encourage participants
to investigate the interaction between place, artefact and story. |

Now the City’s Cathedral, this fascinating building has been
a Saxon Minster and later a Benedictine Monastery, with the shrine
of St Werburgh. Lots to see, including wonderful 14th century woodcarvings
in the Quire and the most complete complex of medieval monastic
