St John's Church, Chester (next to the Amphitheatre) Saturday 16 June 2011, 10:30am - 5pm the annual recreation of the ancient gathering of musicians at midsummer to obtain their licence to perform. This is a major event with dozens of musicians and living history characters performing, and it's all very friendly and free! We'll have more details as it approaches so keep checking back. |

The Blackden Trust, Holmes Chapel, Cheshire Saturday 23 June 2012, 10am-4pm A day of hands-on herb exploration, discovering how herbs have been used through history and how to grow and care for them today; in the inspirational setting of the Tudor Old Medicine House. |

7 & Sunday 8 July 2012, 12noon - 5pm Step back in time to 1596 and experience an Elizabethan country fair in this idyllic rural setting. Tom will be performing music and telling folk tales, whilst Susannah will be demonstrating the role of the herbalist. There are other demonstrations and tours of the working mill too, and it's all free that weekend! |

to pipe the troops onto the battlefield. |

Festival of Historic Arts and Crafts This is one of our favourite buildings and we're very pleased to be part of this event again. Susannah will be exploring the uses of herbs and spices in the historic kitchen and Tom will be playing Tudor music through the house. |
